Suspects in the Rockridge Apartments shootings in Arkansas City are being held without bond in the Cowley County Jail, a Cowley County Sheriff’s spokesperson said Thursday.
Aaron Brown, 27, and Lee Brown, 28, both of Ark City, have been in custody since surrendering themselves to authorities Wednesday. They face attempted first degree murder charges in the early morning shooting of Tyrone Clay, 26, Wichita.
Clay was taken to a local hospital in critical condition after being shot multiple times. He was later taken to Via Christi-St. Francis Hospital in Wichita. A hospital official said she could not comment on the man’s condition and that any information would need to come from public sources.
Police in Ark City said Clay was in critical condition as of this morning. No further updates have been given.
Chief Sean Wallace would not discuss exactly how many times Clay was shot or where on the body he was wounded.
