Three people who are suspects in a multi-state forgery and theft ring are to appear in Cowley County District Court at 9:30 a.m. Friday.
Alan Jay Jackson, 49, Ark City, and Stacy Dickson, 29, Wichita, posted bond Friday. Gary Garrett, 39, Haysville, remains in the Cowley County jail in lieu of $10,000 bond.
They were arrested in Arkansas City Feb. 25 after they attempted to pass a fake check at Orscheln’s. Police were alerted by employees. A rental truck they were using carried over 30 fraudulent identification cards, fraudulent checks and numerous other items used to make false documents, police said.
The three were each formally charged with two counts of forgery, two counts of theft, possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
