Cowley County Commissioners will hear comments or suggestions this month pertaining to projects that could or should be part of the five-year bridge and road plan list.
The list will be discussed at 9 a.m. June 23 in the assembly room at the county courthouse in Winfield. Anyone interested is invited to attend and offer in input on road and bridge priorities.
The county typically receives 80 percent matching funds through the state for projects like bridge replacement, asphalt road overlays and intersection improvements.
The public will be provided an opportunity to present their input at the commission meeting. You also may submit comments to the County Engineers Office, 311 E. Ninth, Winfield, KS 67156 prior to June 23.
