A driver sought by Arkansas City police, following a hit and run accident Friday night, has turned themselves in, police said.
Around 10 p.m., officers were called to the intersection of Virginia and Summit for a report of a collision between a car and motorcycle. Police determined a Chrysler Sebring ? thought to be gold in color ? had struck a motorcycle and rider.
The car had left the scene and a search ensued. The rider was wearing a helmet and was talking with emergency personnel at the scene.
His name and condition have not been released thus far.
A driver later turned surrendered to police. The person’s name has not been released.
