Train cars derail in Wellington Monday morn.

Six Union Pacific grain cars derailed early Monday morning in Wellington. The incident occurred just before 6:30 a.m.

The train was traveling northbound through Wellington when the cars ? which were located directly behind the main locomotive ? left the tracks and overturned. Some grain spilled onto a nearby roadway.

The main locomotive remained upright but did leave the tracks. Several feet of rail was reported to be snarled and damaged. No injuries were reported.

It was not immediately clear how long the clean up process might take.
