College tuition a big prize at CCL casino night

College tuition at Cowley College and Butler County Community College are the top prizes at Creative Community Living’s annual Casino Night.

The event is set for 7 p.m. Feb. 20 at the Winfield Community Center at Baden Square. Fifteen hours of tuition from both colleges will be the big prizes available at the casino night’s silent auction.

A ticket to the event comes with $40,000 in play money to use playing blackjack, poker, roulette, craps, slot machines, bingo, Plinko and Wheel of Fortune. Winnings are used to buy items at a live auction at the end of the night.

Winners of the tuition packages must live in the state of Kansas and will be responsible for paying college or course fees associated with attending the schools. The Cowley prize is valued at $775 to 925, and the Butler County prize s valued at $1,020.

Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. They can be purchased at Meyer Hall or Dillons in Winfield or Sears in Arkansas City. For more information, please call Jane Sandbulte at (620) 221-9431.

CCL provides support for approximately 135 men and women with developmental disabilities in Winfield, Arkansas City and El Dorado. All money raised at Casino Night will be used to purchase essential items or services for clients who don’t have the money to pay for them.
