Winfield High School music students participated in the Kansas State High School Activities Association State Large Group Music Festival, held Thursday in Winfield.
All Winfield performing groups received a rating of excellent or outstanding during the festival. In all, 15 choirs, 2 orchestras and 19 bands performed for a panel of judges at the contest.
Winfield ensembles, and their ratings, were as follows:

WHS Mixed Chorus ? I, II and II, for a combined rating of II (Excellent)
WHS Viking Voices ? I, I, and I for a combined rating of I (Outstanding)
WHS A Capella Choir ? II, I and I for a combined rating of I (Outstanding)
WHS Concert Band ? II, II and I for a combined rating of II (Excellent)
WHS Symphonic Band ? I, I, and I for a combined rating of I (Outstanding)
