77 accident survivor is upgraded to serious

Leah Logan’s condition has improved and the Caldwell woman is now listed in serious condition, according to a Wesley Medical Center spokesperson.

Logan, 22, was taken to Wesley March 30, after the car she was driving collided with a semi on U.S. 77 near Strother Field. A passenger in the car, Maxwell R. Martin, died from his injuries.

Logan spent more than a week being listed as critical, which is used to indicate a person has suffered life-threatening injuries and may be unconscious. Those in serious condition are conscious and their vitals signs are more stable than critical patients, according to emergency medical sources.
