Robert E. Dunn, 59, of Winfield, passed away May 9, 2010, at his home.
Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Swisher Taylor & Morris chapel in Winfield. A private interment will be held at a later date. No visitation will be held.
A memorial has been established with the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 2141 Rosecrans Ave., Suite 7000, El Segundo, CA, 90245.
Swisher-Taylor & Morris Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Robert was born November 28, 1950, in Nice, France, to Edward L. Dunn and Celestine (Gaiti-Dunn) Allen. He was raised and educated in Winfield, graduating from Winfield High School in 1968. He also attended Cowley College for two years.
Robert married Barbara J. Weller on February 14, 1970, in Winfield.
A life long resident of Winfield, he worked as a newspaper carrier. He also worked at the Kellogg Mill, Gott Corporation and Morton Buildings, Inc. He held jobs as a correction’s officer, lawn mower and general handyman.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of the home; his mother, Celestine Allen, Winfield; his daughters, Annette Powers and husband, Nathan, Salisbury, Md., and Zera Menard and husband, Jo, Oklahoma City; his sister, Helene Lynn, Winfield; his brother, David Allen, Winfield; his grandchildren, Brianne, Edward, Isabella, Alexia, Bryant, Scott and Serenity; and many nieces and nephews.
