Cowley County Democrats are hosting a Get to Know Your Candidate Night and bean feed fundraiser next week in Winfield.
The event is set for 5:30 p.m. June 1 at the Baden Square community room. Doors open at 5:15 and candidates will begin speaking at 5:45 p.m., following dinner.
Advanced tickets for the event must be purchased by Wednesday and are available by calling Kris Trimmer at 262-6653.
Confirmed candidates are: Tom Holland, candidate for Kansas governor, Chris Biggs, who is running for secretary of state, Dennis McKinney, candidate for state treasurer, state Rep. Raj Goyle, who is running for representative of the Fourth Dist. U.S. House of Representatives, Lisa Johnston, candidate for U.S. Senate and state Rep. Ed Trimmer, who is running for reelection to the State House.
Anyone interested is invited to attend the event.
