Broadway actress Heather Hawkins will speak at Cowley College’s main campus in Ark City Tuesday.
Her presentation is part of the college’s musical theatre master class. The event is open to the public and will be held at 2:30 p.m. inside the Robert Brown Theatre.
Hawkins has performed in the musical Avenue Q, which ranks as the 21st longest running show in Broadway history. She will begin rehearsing for the new musical Writing Arthur in November.
Writing Arthur is one of eight shows receiving attention in the National Alliance for Musical Theatre’s Festival of New Musicals, in which shows are seen in excerpted concert reading form before an audience of producers and other industry folk.
