Auto burglary suspects face meth counts too

Two men recently arrested on auto burglary charges are also facing additional charges related to the manufacturing of meth, Ark City police said Wednesday.

On Friday, police and the Cowley County Drug Task Force were called to an area near the bypass overpass on S. Summit where they located what was believed to be a clandestine lab used to make meth.

Investigators processed the scene and recovered evidence that led to a possible suspect.

Follow-up investigation led to two suspects, Cody Crane and Nicholas Hulsey, Alabama men currently staying with family in Ark City. The two are also facing charges in connection with an auto burglary investigation.

Crane and Hulsey were arrested Nov. 23 for the burglary charges. They remain in the Cowley County Jail and their bond has been increased to $112,000 each, according to a jail spokesperson.
