The motorcycle rider injured in Saturday’s accident just north of Winfield died as a result of his injuries, according to a hospital spokesperson.
Randy Hotchkin, 57, Arkansas City, was taken to Wesley Medical Center following the accident and later died. He suffered major head injuries, according to information available at the scene.
Hotchkins was north bound on 101st Road ? north of Winfield near the city’s water treatment plant ? when he lost control of his 2009 Harley Davidson and entered the right ditch. The bike flipped and he was thrown from it.
An air ambulance met Hotchkins at Winfield hospital and transported him to Wichita.
