Weather advisory continues; Low temps Tues

A winter weather advisory will remain in effect until 6 p.m. Monday and some additional snowfall is likely before the advisory ends.

The wind is expected to cause potentially dangerous, below-zero wind chill temperatures.

Highs in the 20s, or below, are expected midweek and lows are expected to dip to eight degrees or lower. Temperatures should increase by weekds end. The high Tuesday is expected to reach just 16 degrees, with a low of three.

Another chance of snow is in the forecast for Saturday.

Cowley County officials announced that, due to the snowfall, a burn in effect for the county has been lifted.
