Avin O. George, 77, of Oxford, Kan., died Monday, October 24, 2011, at Via Christi Medical Center St. Francis Campus in Wichita.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Arkansas City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will follow in the Hope Cemetery in Arkansas City. Father Ruben Ortiz-Montelongo will officiate. The casket will be open at the funeral home for visitation from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday.
A memorial has been established with the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Stained Glass Window Restoration Fund. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
