WPD, Crime Stoppers Authorize Cash Reward For Info Related To December Homicide

The Winfield Police Department and Cowley County Crime Stoppers have authorized a reward up to $3,500 for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a December homicide at Honor Apartments at Southwestern College in Winfield.

The victim, 32-year-old Gabriel Luna, died due to his injuries after he was shot at his apartment on the campus of Southwestern at approximately 1:08 a.m. on Dec. 18 in the 1700 block of Fowler.

Luna was transported to the emergency room at William Newton Memorial Hospital and then transported by Life Watch to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, where he later died as a result of the injury sustained.
