Escaped Winfield inmate still not in custody

A Winfield Correctional Facility inmate, who escaped custody last week, remains on the lam, a prison spokesperson said Monday.

“There is nothing new,” Robbie Reynolds, said this morning. “When we do know something we’ll pass on that information.”

Eric Mitchell Rabicoff, 24, was last seen around 9 p.m. Wednesday. He was convicted of violating the Kansas Securities Act in Johnson County and was serving a 32-month sentence at the time of his escape.

Rabicoff had been at the Winfield facility since July. It is unclear how he was able to escape custody undetected. Rabicoff is white with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet tall and weighs over 165 pounds. He was scheduled to be released in March 2009.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of this inmate is asked to call 911 or the Winfield Correctional Facility at 620-221-6660.
