A 45-year-old Winfield man remained in critical condition Wednesday morning with burns suffered over most of his body in a car wreck Aug. 27.
Steve Shamburg, a local house painter, was burned when his car caught fire after it ran off N. College Street and dropped into a steep ditch, trapping him temporarily.
A passenger escaped without serious injury.
