The investigation into the cause of a traffic accident in Sumner County that claimed the lives of two children from the same family has not been completed.
“It looks like it might be a little while,” said Sumner County Attorney Kassie McEntire. ‘Unfortunately, it’s a little complicated.”
Kathrine “Kat” Tredway, 10, and Thomas Alexander, 11, died when a truck being driven by a Salina man ran a stop sign on K53 and U81, the Kansas Highway Patrol said after the preliminary investigation.
Three? other relatives were injured. The victims were?going to a family event in Wichita.
One of the children was the daughter of a Wellington police officer and the granddaughter of an Oxford police officer.
