Southwestern College’s band and orchestra will be hosting a family music concert and instrumental petting zoo Nov. 10, at 11 a.m. in Messenger Recital Hall. Admission is free.
Members of the SC Band and Orchestra will be performing several pieces including Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker Suite” and Brahms’s “Hungarian Dance No. 5.”? After the concert, a musical petting zoo will be open to the public.? Violins, trumpets, and other instruments will be available for anyone to play.
Although the event is directed toward a younger audience, the event is open to all ages.
