The Southwestern College Association of Nursing Students attended the 54th annual Kansas Association of Nursing Students Convention in Wichita.
Southwestern earned several group and individual recognitions.
Three SC students were elected to state office positions.? They are Erin Messing, vice president parliamentary; Janae Mettling, vice president for convention; and Rebecca Richmond, projects chair.?
Melinda Current, assistant professor of nursing at Southwestern, received the “Leader of Leaders” award. The award honors faculty who support student nurses in their pursuit of professionalism through membership in their student nurses association.
As a team, the Southwestern students received the award for being most active in campus activities.
