Winfield police make drug busts late Wed.

Eight Winfield residents were arrested Wednesday night on drug related charges after law enforcement officers from four organizations executed search warrants on four Winfield residences, according to Police Chief Jerry DeVore.

The first warrant was served at approximately 8:33 p.m. at 6132 E. 14th St. Approximately one-half pound of what is believed to be marijuana , items of paraphernalia and packaging materials were located.

Scott R. Herron, 20, Chancey F. Lynch, 20, and Ian J. Lynch, 18, were arrested for possession of marijuana and drug use paraphernalia.

The second warrant was served at 306 N. College at approximately 9;16 p.m. A substance believed to be marijuana and items of drug paraphernalia were found. David R. Myser, 23, was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug use paraphernalia.

Less than two hours later, police went to 1112 E. 10th, Apt. 1 where they found what they think is methamphetamine and marijuana as well as items of paraphernalia. Venetta Davidson, 32, and Michael T. Clay, 25, were arrested for possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, drug use paraphernalia and no drug tax stamp.

The final warrant was executed at 2 a.m. today at 1320 E. Eighth. A substance believed to be methamphetamine and numerous items of drug paraphernalia were discovered. Adam M. Davis, 21, and Kristian C.L. Davis, 20, were arrested for possession of methamphetamine and drug use paraphernalia.

In addition to Winfield police, the Cowley County Sheriff’s Office, Cowley County Drug Task Force and an agent with the state Alcohol Beverage Control agency were involved in the drug investigation activities.
