The Winfield City Commission has requested comments from the public regarding a public smoking ordinance recently proposed by Clean Air Cowley County.
A public comment meeting will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. May 22 at Baden Square, 700 Gary Street. Mayor Mike Ledy and commissioners Phil Jarvis and Tom McNeish will be present to listen to public opinion.
Ginger Park from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment will provide a brief presentation regarding clean air ordinances in Kansas.
