Three elementary schools in Arkansas City were burglarized over the weekend, Police Chief Sean Wallace said.
A janitor found the burglary at Adams and a teacher discovered the problem at Frances Willard. After the two burglaries were discovered, police asked other schools be checked.
The burglary at Jefferson Elementary was then found. The office at Jefferson was not entered despite attempts by burglars to break in.
An undisclosed amount of property was taken from Francis Willard.
