Break-ins are Cowley’s latest crime of month

Two burglaries of the same building in Atlanta in recent weeks are the Cowley County Crime Stoppers crime of the month.

Sometime between June 29 and July 1, someone entered a business located at 319 S. Main through the rear door. Taken from the business owned by Judy Haggard was $25 in $5 bills. There was also $50 damage to the door.

Then sometime between July 2 and July 5, the same building was entered again through the same rear door. Haggard told investigators there didn’t appear to be anything missing although the door was damaged again.

The Cowley County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help from anyone who may have information about the crimes.

Cowley County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the crimes.
