An Arkansas City man was involved in an accident Monday midway between Newirk and Ponca City on U.S. Highway 77.
Tim Hays told NewsCow he unintentionally ran a stop light near the intersection of 77 of Highway 11 south of Newkirk. Hays’ vehicle collided with another vehicle. Information on the condition of the other driver was not available.
Hays said he knows the other person was loaded in an ambulance and taken to the hospital. A spokesperson for the Oklahoma Highway Patrol was not immediately available for comment.
Hays is owner of Hays Sign and Crane in Ark City. The accident occurred around 11 a.m.
