Terry McClure is Cowley County’s new jail administrator and has been promoted to the rank of captain, Sheriff Bob Odell announced Monday.
McClure’s promotion was effective Monday. He replaces Steve Roberts who stepped down as jail administrator in May to take a job in the private sector.
Roberts had been with sheriff’s office for over 20 years.
McClure joined the sheriff’s office as jail transition coordinator in Sept. 2005. Prior to that, he served as Burden’s chief of police.
