Kaitlyn Jarvis’ status at a Wichita hospital has been upgraded to fair, a hospital spokesperson said early Thursday morning. Jarvis had been listed as critical since being injured in a car accident Aug. 6.
Jarvis was taken to Wesley Medical Center shortly after rear-ending a semi-truck that was towing a trailer and had stopped at railroad tracks near Strother Field. The trucks driver was not injured.
The 18-year-old Jarvis, who lives in Arkansas City, had been scheduled to leave for college this week.
