A 14-year-old Arkansas City boy was arrested Sunday for raping a 13-year-old girl.
"Apparently over the weekend the two, along with other friends, planned to have an overnight gathering together," Ark City Police Chief Sean Wallace said. "During the course of this gathering, the 14-year-old boy got the 13-year-old girl alone outside and forced her into an alley and into a back yard.
"In the back yard, he raped her on a patio table," Wallace said.
A rape kit was performed on the girl, who is also from Ark City, and the boy arrested.
