AC police use Taser on suspect; Winfield too

Arkansas City police Tasered a man who allegedly battered his girlfriend and then resisted arrest Sunday afternoon.

Cary Dee Rollins, 48, Ark City, complained of rib pain and a cut on his forehead after he was handcuffed. He was transported to the local hospital by ambulance where he was checked out and then sent to the county jail.

Police initially went to the home at 924 Polk Ave. to investigate a domestic disturbance. The woman claimed she was the victim of battery and disorderly conduct by her boyfriend, Police Chief Sean Wallace said. The two live together with Rollins’ 10 year old son.
