A Wichita man accused of raping a Winfield woman last month was back in Cowley County District Court Monday.
A preliminary hearing was set for 9 a.m. Oct. 17 for Omar Salvador Castillo-Fernandez. The 29-year-old man remains in the Cowley County jail in lieu of $9,800.
The 25-year-old alleged rape victim told police that Fernandez raped her at a private residence in Winfield in September. Fernandez is also charged with driving without a license.
