The 19-year-old son of Arkansas City Police Chief Sean Wallace was one of three teens cited for alcohol violations early Sunday morning.
Justin Gooch, Kevin Scruggs, and Joe Wallace, all 19 years old and of Ark City, were cited for consuming intoxicants by a minor. Wallace was also cited for having an open container of beer. They are to appear in Municipal Court.
"He got treated just like everybody else. That’s the reason he’s in police notes,” Chief Wallace said
Other parents often ask to keep their kid’s names out of the police notes, he said.
"He (Joe) is no different than anyone else," Chief Wallace said. "Who his dad is does not keep him form being responsible to the law."
