Arraignment for a 20-year-old Winfield man charged with forcibly raping an underage girl has been continued to 1:30 p.m. Jan. 5.
Jeremiah Johnson waived his right to a preliminary hearing in Cowley County District Court in Winfield earlier in the proceedings and was to be arraigned Nov. 17. He is free on bond.
Johnson was arrested June 13. He knew the victim, who was less than 16 years of age when the incident occurred.
