Police may have set a new record for solving a theft early Monday morning, and recovering property involved. The case involved Ali Lambeft, 18, Ark City, who was arrested for shoplifting from Love’s Country Store at 6:20 a.m. She was taken to the police station for processing and at one point was allowed to use the restroom.

Wallace said after she left the restroom, officers noticed that her shirt was bulging. Officers discovered she was trying to steal a police department 35MM camera and some books. She was cited and released on her own recognizance pending her first court appearance.
