Thurber jury pool grows to 32 on Wednesday

Attorneys in the capital murder trial of Justin Thurber now have chosen 32 potential jurors. A 42-person pool is being chosen.

From that pool, a jury of 12 people and four alternates will be chosen by attorneys from both sides. Cowley County Attorney Christopher Smith said there may be an adjustment made to the number of alternates needed.

Opening statements in the case could come as soon as Monday.

Thurber is accused of the kidnapping and murdering Jodi Sanderholm.
