Rock’s Smith is Cowley’s student of the month

A college sophomore from Rock has been named the March student of the month at Cowley College, the school announced this week.

Elizabeth Smith was a valedictorian at Udall High School in 2007 and has continued her success at the junior college level. She is taking 22 hours this semester and has a 4.0 grade average at Cowley. She plans to transfer to Southwestern College and double major in accounting and business administration.

Smith, daughter of Larry and Sheila Smith, is an accounting major. Grandparents are Patricia and the late Gene Prichard of Douglass, and Neoma and the late Golden Arlie Smith of Dustin, Okla.

She has a brother, Brian 24, and a sister, Tabitha 21.

Being named Cowley College’s March Student of the Month is something Smith is proud of.

"I am honored, it is a great privilege because so few students are chosen," she said.
