Arkansas City public schools will host the annual back to school Backpack Night this Wednesday. The event gives students a chance to meet their teachers and drop off their school supplies before class begins.
Backpack Night will be held at the following locations and times:
Adams: 5 p.m. ? 6 p.m.
C-4: 5:30 p.m. ? 6:30 p.m.
Frances Willard: 5:30 p.m. ? 6:30 p.m.
IXL: 6 p.m. ? 7 p.m.
Jefferson: 6 p.m. ? 7 p.m.
Roosevelt: 5:30 p.m. ? 6:30 p.m.
In addition to backpack night, the district is offering orientations Wednesday for students new to the high school and middle school.
The middle school will have its 6th Grade Orientation from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. An orientation for 7th and 8th grade students who are new to the district will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The high school’s Freshmen Orientation is from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
