Cowley County native, 20, dies in auto crash

A Cowley County native died Monday evening in a two-vehicle accident in western Kansas, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Michael J. Bos, 20, Goodwell, Okla., was killed when his 1998 Chevy S-10 pickup collided with a 1991 Chevy pickup about four miles west of Ingalls, Kan. The driver of the second vehicle, Raymond D. Eichenauer, 81, Ingalls, was also killed.

Neither man was wearing a seat belt.

Bos grew up near Cambridge and attended Central Burden schools. He still has family and friends living in this area.

Around 5:45 p.m., the highway patrol reports that Bos failed to yield at a yield sign and entered the intersection, striking Eichenauer’s car on the driver’s side door.
