Graduation ceremonies at Southwestern College in Winfield are set for Sunday afternoon. Due to construction of the new football stadium, commencement will be held at Stewart Field House and graduates will be divided into three groups.
Graduate students are scheduled for 1 p.m., undergraduates earning a B.A., B.S.N., B.G.S and B.S in natural sciences are set for 2:30 p.m and undergraduates earning B.S degrees in anything other than natural sciences are scheduled for 4 p.m.
Since seating in the college’s Field House is limited, guests will be required to have a ticket for admission. Open seating, which requires no ticket, will begin 20 minutes prior to each ceremony.
Commencement activities will be broadcast live on channel 20 in Winfield as well as through closed circuit television on the Southwestern campus.? Viewing locations include the Java Jinx in the Roy L. Smith Student Center, Richardson Auditorium, Harold and Mary Ellen Deets Memorial Library lobby, and the campus life lounge in the lower level of the Roy L. Smith Student Center.?

SC’s Honors Convocation will be Saturday, May 8, at 4 p.m., in Richardson Auditorium.? Although this is a traditional main campus program, professional studies learners who qualified for the Dean’s Honor Roll for fall 2009 will be recognized on the printed program.
Baccalaureate services will be held Sunday, May 9, in Richardson Auditorium of the Christy Administration Building.? The service will begin at 10 a.m.
Inductees to the Order of the Mound will be honored on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. at the Cole Mound Plaza. In case of rain, Messenger Recital Hall in the Darbeth Fine Arts Center will host the ceremony.???
The Order of the Mound recognizes students graduating in the top 10% of the class.
