Enrollment for Ark City public schools is scheduled for next week at the middle school.
Sessions are set for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Aug.11 and Aug.12. Grades Pre-K through fifth enroll at the gym, grades sixth through eighth enroll in the office-foyer area and high school students enroll in the cafeteria.
The district asks parents of first-time students to bring the student’s birth certificate, proof of immunizations, and social security card. High school students that are new to the district may enroll early on Wed., Aug. 4 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the middle school’s Sixth Grade Center.
The school district has waived all basic textbook fees for the 2010-2011 school year, however, some additional fees may be required based on the student’s course load.
School will start Aug. 26 for grades 1-12 and Sept. 2 for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students.
