Ark City pedestrian imroves to serious cond.

Two Arkansas City residents injured in unrelated accidents one day apart are both improving at Via Christi Regional Medical Center – St. Francis Campus ? in Wichita, a spokeswoman said Friday morning.

The condition of David James Potts, 41, has been upgraded from critical to serious. He was struck by a vehicle while walking his dog Monday at Summit Street and the U.S. 77 bypass, according to the Ark City Police Department.

Michelle Patrick, 37, has been upgraded from stable to good condition. She apparently ran out in front of traffic in the 300 block of N. Summit Street on Tuesday, and was struck by one vehicle. Several others managed to avoid striking her.
