Oklahoma quake felt in Cowley, parts of Kan.

An earthquake near Norman, Okla Wednesday morning was felt in Cowley County.

Callers to KSOK Radio and NewsCow said they felt the Earth tremor a bit around 9:05 a.m. – the approximate time the quake was reported. Parts of at least five states were said to have felt rumblings, according to media reports.

The Associated Press reported that a 4.3 magnitude earthquake struck about six miles northeast of Norman in Cleveland Co., Okla., according to measurements from the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was one of the strongest earthquakes recorded in Oklahoma.
