Cops seeking tips in BB-gun/ robbery cases

Windows broken across Winfield and the robbing of a Pizza Hut delivery man are the crimes of the month for October, according to local Crime Stoppers officials.

On Oct. 19, officers in Winfield began responding to a large number of criminal damage reports across the city. A total of 55 reports were eventually received.

All damage appeared to be caused by a BB or pellet gun. Damage is estimated at over $7,500.

Last Thursday, a pizza delivery man told police he was the victim of aggravated robbery in the 900 block of E. Seventh in Winfield.

The driver was asked to deliver pizza to the rear door of a residence and was met by several male subjects. He was attacked by the men and they took his bank bag, personal cash and a cell phone.

Suspects in the case fled by foot. One suspect is described as a white male wearing a gray sweatshirt with a black stripe.

Both cases are unsolved and Cowley County Crime Stoppers is looking for information from the public to help solve both crimes.
