State Sen. Greta Goodwin, a Democrat from Winfield, has died. She was 74.
Goodwin represented the 32nd Dist. in the state Senate until being defeated by Sen. Steve Abrams, R-Ark City in 2008. She was a member of the state legislature for more than 15 years.
She served three terms in the Senate and two in the House of Representatives.
Goodwin was known for efforts to fund local state agencies and the push to bring the Kansas Veterans Home to Winfield.
