Wayne Wilt was sworn in Tuesday evening as the newest member of the Cowley County Commission. He replaces Dick Bonfy, who did not seek reelection.
Gary Wilson was elected to serve as the commission’s chairman during a regularly-scheduled meeting at the courthouse in Winfield.
Wilt joined the three-member panel after a brief swearing-in ceremony. The commission proceeded to consider a light agenda before calling a 30-minute executive session to discuss non-elected personnel.
Wilt was elected to a four-year term in November.
District court judge LaDonna Lanning was sworn in Monday.
