Creekstone Farms Premium Beef this month put steaks on the plates of 5,000 soldiers and family members stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas, the industry trade publication Meat and Poultry reported this week.
Ark City-based Creekstone teamed with the All-American Beef Battalion to provide a complimentary steak dinner for service people and their families. The battalion hosts steak feeds on military bases throughout the U.S.
The event was held Feb. 12 and featured entertainment and prizes that were followed by a special dinner featuring Creekstone’s black angus steaks.
A Creekstone spokesperson said the dinner was a chance for its 700 employees to show their appreciation for American service people.
