Nine teens in one vehicle and two in a second escaped injury Sunday evening when one vehicle rear-ended the second. A third teen in the second vehicle was taken to Newton Memorial Hospital for possible injuries.
The traffic accident occurred about 10 p.m. on 151st Road just south of 72nd Road, eight miles northeast of Winfield, according to the KHP.
A 1996 Olds was being driven by Alex Otis, 18, Mulvane. Eli Graves, 17, also of Mulvane, was not injured.
A third occupant, Allexis R. Scheffe, 17, Derby, was examined at Newton Memorial Hospital.
Alyssa Kniff, 17, was driving a 2001 GMC. Kerry Lumpkins,16. Kelsey Armstrong, 16, Rachel Geeding, 17, and Shawn C. Thomas, 17, all of Wichita, escaped injury.
Alaina Anderson, 15, Bel Aire, Carlee Hicks, 16, Matthew Washburn, 18 and Issac Belton, 19, all of Wichita, wee not injured.
