Union State Bank officials celebrated the opening of the bank’s new branch in south Winfield with a public reception last Friday.
The event, entitled “What’s cookin’ down south,” drew dozens of folks who were treated to a cowboy style lunch of beans, cornbread and cobbler. The new location is at 2100 Pike, near the new Wal-Mart.
Josie Jones, a teller at the bank, said employees were very happy with the new digs.
“It’s awesome,” Jones, who was dressed in cowboy garb, said. “It’s really very nice.”
Hours at the new location are – Lobby: Mon. through Thurs. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday to 6 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m to noon; Drive-up: Monday through Friday 8 a.m. To 6 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to noon.
