Chautauqua rape trial gets postponed again

A jury trial for a Chautauqua County man charged with kidnapping, rape and aggravated criminal sodomy has been continued again, this time until April 7.

Stephen Greger was scheduled to go on trial in Chautauqua County District Court March 7.

The victim was 14 years old. A gag order issued by the presiding judge has prevented information from being released on when or where the alleged rape and kidnap occurred.

A second man, Aaron Terning, is to be tried by a jury May 19 for kidnapping and rape.

The Kansas Attorney General’s Office is handling the case.
