The Winfield area received more than 1.5 inches of rain as a result of a late-night, early-morning thunderstorm Friday.
Arlan Anglemyer, who provides weather information to the National Weather Service in Wichita, measured rainfall of 1.58 inches for the 24-hour period that ended at 7 a.m this morning.
The report shows a high temperature of 89 degrees and a low of 62 for the same reporting period. Measurements are taken at a location just east of Winfield.
